Privacy notice
CHEQIT is designed so customer video, frames, recordings, and alert evidence stay in the customer environment by default. This notice covers the separate website, account, waiting-list, licensing, download, and support data handled by ORTUS.
Data handling
We collect the minimum needed to run the access and licensing workflow.
The public site and License Manager support commercial access, activation, software downloads, and support. They are not video processing services.
Contact detailsName, email, company, role, region, and deployment context submitted through the waiting list, account, or sales forms.
Account securityLogin metadata, verification status, password reset events, MFA settings, and session information needed to protect your account.
Operational recordsLicence, activation, purchase-request, download, support, and audit records needed to fulfil access and provide support.
NecessaryAlways on. Required for sign-in, checkout, security, and remembering your cookie choice. Includes ortus_consent, which records that choice, and cheqit_theme.
PreferencesOptional. Remembers interface choices such as light or dark theme.
AnalyticsOptional. Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, using _ga cookies, to count visits and see which pages help. Whether this starts on or off depends on where you are — see below.
MarketingOptional. Measures whether a campaign led to a visit. Whether this starts on or off depends on where you are — see below.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or SwitzerlandNothing optional is switched on until you choose. Preferences, Analytics, and Marketing all start denied, and no analytics or marketing cookie is written unless you allow it in the banner.
If you are elsewhereYou are asked in the same way, but the optional categories start enabled, so the banner shows what is already on rather than what is off. You can review or change any category at any time using Cookie settings, which opens the same chooser.
Global Privacy ControlIf your browser sends a GPC signal we treat it as an instruction and apply the stricter behaviour wherever you are: nothing optional is enabled until you choose. A choice you have already made here by hand still stands.
How we tellYour approximate country comes from our CDN at the moment of the request; we do not store it. If it cannot be determined, we apply the stricter EU behaviour and ask you first.
Shared with ortusai.ioYour choice is stored for the whole ortusai.io domain, so deciding here or on ortusai.io applies to both and you are only asked once. Both sites follow the same regional rules.
Changing your mindUse the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to review or withdraw consent at any time, wherever you are. A choice you make there always overrides the regional default.
No video by defaultCamera streams, snapshots, recordings, baselines, and alert evidence are not sent to ORTUS cloud services by default.
Licence checksConnected deployments may send minimal licence, activation, software-version, and health-check data needed to validate entitlement and updates.
Air-gapped modeOffline activation and update paths are available when customer policy does not allow connected checks.
Access and correctionContact sales@ortusai.io to ask for access, correction, export, or deletion of website/account records where legally and operationally possible.
ProcessorsPayment, hosting, email, and security providers may process limited records for the purposes described above.
